The AAU School Of Basketball is different than any other academy or camp you have ever attended.  The difference is in our coaches, the intensity of our workouts and our attention to detail.

Our Head Coaches have all played or coached College Basketball.  They have an advanced understanding of the game and player development.  They use age appropriate drills and positive coaching techniques to create a fun and safe environment for a serious player to advance his game.  All of our Coaches are dedicated to the principal of social development through sports.  Their goals are not only to help develop basketball skills, but also life skills.  To our Coaches self-confidence, work ethic, integrity, cooperation with others, and focus are just as important as crossovers, box outs & slides.  We have an 8 (players) to 1 (coach) ratio to ensure each athlete gets plenty of individual attention and reps.

We will be announcing the dates for our fall sessions so check back soon.

If you are serious about playing in high school or college The AAU School Of Basketball is for you.  This session will fill up quickly so please register today to guarantee your spot in our summer session.

Derrick Elliott has been involved in the game of basketball at the elite level for the past 15 years.  First as a player at Franklin HS and as a Region 18 All American Point Guard at Utah Valley State.  After completing his eligibility at UVS Derrick played at the University Of Idaho and finished his college career at Central Washington University,  As his playing day's ended Derrick got involved in coaching.  He spent time as an assistant coach at Utah Valley State in Orem UT , Odessa JC in Texas, and NW Nazarene in Nampa Idaho.  it was during this time that Derrick realized he had a passion for player development.  He started working with players one on one and in small groups.  He has worked with many elite players in both college and in the pros.  For the past three  years Derrick has been mentoring his cousin Avery Bradley (Boston Celtics) with the transition from High Shool to the University Of Texas to the NBA, and just prior to that he was Jason Terry's (Dallas Mavericks) work out partner and personal assistant.

Derrick has an endless resume of work within player development. He has a passion to help younger players and he is a very good teacher of the game.   We feel very lucky to have his experience and knowledge at our school.
